Rowling composed seven handwritten copies of The Tales of the Beedle and the Bard in 2007 creating an real-life version of the previously fictional collection mentioned in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. One of these handwritten copies was auctioned to raise money for children's charities, and the hype surrounding it led to the book being published internationally the following year.
