A series of children’s mystery novels written under the house name of Franklin W. Dixon, 'The Hardy Boys' series was created in 1927 with the novel The Tower Treasure, and the series continues to this day. Each novel follows the adventures of Frank and Joe Hardy, teenage brothers who spend their time solving mysteries, and although part of a greater set can all be read as standalone mysteries.
